Orthotrichum consobrinumCardot in Western Europe and South-Western Asia

Abstract Orthotrichum consobrinum Cardot, a moss that was earlier considered an endemic to the Sino-Japanese Region, has been found in the north of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain) and in north-eastern Anatolia (Turkey). Comparison of Spanish and Turkish material with eastern Asiatic specimens revealed no relevant morphological differences, and the specimens from both disjunct populations showed the same range of variation of the species attributes. However, the morphological analysis has revealed some distinctive features of the species that had been overlooked in the past. An updated description of this Euro-Asiatic moss is provided here.

Long-term decrease in Asian monsoon rainfall and abrupt climate change events over the past 6,700 years

Significance The variability of the Asian summer monsoon (ASM) is important for the functioning of ecological and societal systems at regional to continental scales, but the long-term evolution and interannual variability of this system is not well understood. Here, we present a stable isotope–based reconstruction of ASM variability covering 4680 BCE to 2011 CE. Superimposed on a gradual drying trend, a rapid drop in mean annual precipitation (>40%) toward persistently drier conditions occurred in ∼1675 BCE. The validation concerns syntaxa of rock plant communities of the Campanuletalia incanescentis order reported from the Pamir Alai mountains in Tajikistan. Seven hundred adolescents (Chinese = 50%; South Asian ethnic minority = 50%) with mean age of 15.3 years (SD = 1.53). Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis was performed to assess measurement invariance of the MSPSS scale across Chinese and South Asian ethnic minority samples. Results show that the original three-factor structure of the MSPSS was supported in both samples. Measurement invariance was supported in terms of configural, metric, and partial scalar invariance. Tutkimukseni käsittelee teleasentajien työn muutosta ja heidän kokemuksiaan siitä noin vuosiluvuilta 1970-2010. Telealan kehitys on ollut nopeatempoista, joten miten alalla pitkän työuran tehneet henkilöt ovat pysyneet mukana? Kuinka heidän työnsä ja työelämänsä ovat muuttuneet aikajakson aikana, mitä he ovat kokeneet muutosten aikana, ja miten he suhtautuvat näihin muutoksiin? Millä tavalla teleasentajan työ 2010-luvulla eroaa 1970-luvun työstä? Tutkielma on jatkoa tekijän kandidaatintutkielmalle.
